Railroader Timebook — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using Railroader Timebook (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must stop using the App.

2. Purpose of the App

Railroader Timebook is a personal digital planner and logbook designed for railroad professionals to manually record and track:

  • Duty time and Hours of Service (HOS)
  • Rest calculations and FRA rest indicators (for personal reference only)
  • Deadhead, taxi segments, and route mileage
  • Trip-based statistics and summaries
  • Layoffs, non-HOS statuses, and events
  • Notes, attachments, and documents
  • Contacts, caller ID labeling (optional), and personal directory entries
  • Optional Station Directory and Route Mileage Directory
  • Optional Union Hub and Global Directory participation

THE APP IS NOT an official FRA record, safety device, or employer-approved reporting system. All calculations and indicators are informational only. You are solely responsible for all official reporting requirements and compliance with FRA, company, and union rules.

3. Personal Planner Disclaimer

  • The App is intended for personal organization and recordkeeping only.
  • Calculations and indicators may contain errors or approximations.
  • You are responsible for verifying all times, mileage, and entries.
  • We are not liable for any employment, safety, operational, or disciplinary consequences arising from your use of the App.

4. Contacts and Caller ID (Optional)

The App allows you to:

  • Add or import specific contacts you choose
  • Store names, numbers, crafts, terminals, and metadata
  • Enable Caller ID labeling (iOS Call Directory Extension)
  • Sync selected contacts across devices

The App does NOT:

  • Automatically read your full phonebook
  • Access call logs or text messages
  • Upload contacts unless you explicitly add them
  • Sell, share, or distribute contact data

You are responsible for lawful and appropriate use of stored contact information.

5. Station Directory & Route Mileage Directory

Users may search, view, add, and update shared station and route mileage entries. User-submitted data is synced to Firebase and may be visible to other users.

You agree that you will:

  • Submit accurate and lawful station data
  • Not submit harmful, misleading, or abusive content

We may edit or remove directory entries at our discretion.

6. Mapping, Geocoding, and Location Features (Optional)

The App may use Apple MapKit, CLGeocoder, and Apple Maps to provide map displays and directional features. Map data may be inaccurate or incomplete.

The App does NOT track your movement.

7. Global Directory (Optional)

If you opt in, you may share your name, craft, terminal, and contact information with other users. Using this information for harassment, spam, scraping, impersonation, or abuse is strictly prohibited.

8. Union Hub (Optional)

Verified representatives may post announcements to their Local. All Union Hub content is submitted by users. We do not guarantee accuracy, timeliness, or completeness.

9. Notes, Attachments, and Uploaded Content

You may upload photos, PDFs, and documents. You agree NOT to upload:

  • Illegal content
  • Copyrighted material without permission
  • Confidential company documents
  • Abusive or obscene material

We do not monitor your notes or attachments.

10. Cloud Sync and Data Storage

The App may use Firebase, Firestore, and iCloud to sync data across devices.

We are not responsible for:

  • Data loss due to device failure
  • Cloud outages or sync delays
  • Data corruption caused by third-party systems

11. Subscriptions & Billing

Railroader Timebook uses Apple’s in-app subscriptions:

  • 14-day free trial
  • $7.99/month or $79.99/year

11.1 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.

11.2 Managing or Cancelling

You may manage your subscription under: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

11.3 Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple. We cannot issue refunds.

11.4 Subscription Lapse

If your subscription ends:

  • Some premium features may become unavailable
  • Your saved data typically remains accessible
  • Sync features may pause

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Misuse directory or contact information
  • Harass or threaten others
  • Upload harmful or illegal content
  • Impersonate others
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems
  • Reverse engineer the App
  • Scrape or harvest data

13. No Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, uptime, or suitability for FRA or employer-required reporting.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Primm Farms LLC is not liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, or consequential damages
  • Loss of employment or disciplinary action
  • Errors in map, station, or mileage data
  • Misuse of directory or Union Hub content

Your exclusive remedy is discontinuing use of the App.

15. Modifications

We may update or discontinue features at any time. Continued use of the App means acceptance of updates.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time.

17. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. A new “Last Updated” date will appear at the top. Continued use of the App means acceptance of updates.
